This modern metal side table offers a versatile design usable in several settings and ways. We suggest placing one between two large lounge chairs or beside the sofa with slender table lamp perched atop in the living room, study, office or reception room. In the bedroom, consider flanking the bed with a pair of side tables for a touch of balanced beauty and function.
Measuring just at 15.75 inches wide with glass inset, the side table’s small footprint makes it ideal for use in today’s dimensionally-challenged spaces such as the studio or micro apartment, tiny bungalow, or executive office. Despite its diminutive size, this side table boasts bold aesthetics in an eye-catching form. It’s sure to be a statement piece anywhere it’s placed.
Early in his career modern designer Warren Platner collaborated with the icons such as Pei and Saarinen before turning his focus to his most lauded creations made of industrial steel. He believed there was a place in modernism “for the kind of decorative, gentle, graceful design that appeared in a period style like Louis XV.” To that purpose, he rendered many elegant steel pieces including tables, chairs and stools design enthusiasts covet to this day.
To clean the metal base, avoid use of harsh acidic or abrasive cleaning solutions. Use damp soapy sponge or cloth for general clean-up. Use soft cloth or paper towel and glass cleaner for glass top.
